Nathaniel “Nate” Monrad
Owner and Chief Instructor
With over 15 years of dedicated service as a North Carolina National Guard medic, I, Nathaniel “Nate” Monrad, have honed my expertise in handling medical emergencies both domestically and internationally. My tenure as a Nationally Registered EMT has been marked by engaging in challenging medical trauma scenarios, equipping me with invaluable practical skills and deep-seated knowledge. This extensive field experience culminated in my role as an Army medical instructor for North Carolina, where I have passionately imparted critical medical skills. My journey has always been driven by a profound commitment to lifesaving training and quality instruction. Alongside my talented wife, Amy, we founded “We Train Heros” to empower our community with the skills to make a lifesaving difference. Our mission is encapsulated in our slogan, “Become the Difference!” Through our expert-led courses, we strive to transform ordinary individuals into confident responders equipped with the American Heart Association and American Safety & Health Institute’s premier training and certifications.
Amy Monrad
Owner and Chief Instructor
I am Amy Monrad, a Nationally Registered medical coder through the American Academy of Professional Coders and an education certificate from UNC Charlotte, with a rich background as a certified sterile processing technician. My journey in the medical field has been driven by an unwavering passion for aiding others, a value instilled in me from a young age, being the daughter of medical professionals. After several rewarding years in the medical sector, I embraced the role of a stay-at-home mother, nurturing and raising two wonderful daughters for seven years. This chapter of my life has deeply enriched my understanding of care, patience, and the importance of life-saving skills. As I transition back into the professional realm, I bring a unique blend of medical knowledge and empathetic training abilities to “We Train Heros.” My goal, in alignment with our slogan “Become the Difference!”, is to empower individuals with the skills and confidence to save lives, leveraging our comprehensive courses in Basic Life Support, CPR, First Aid, and more, accredited by the American Heart Association and the American Safety & Health Institute.
